Our History

NIWS History

Our story begins in the high-tech wilderness of Silicon Forest, Washington County, Oregon. Our Founder Scott Reed, having taken the light industrial division at Tri-County Moving to the summit of what they could obtain, decided to venture out on his own. Forming Northwest Industrial Services, Inc., Scott brought on co-workers and friends who believed in parallel values of customer service, quality, safety and satisfaction of a job well done. We at NWIS invite you to review our timeline below. All of our accomplishments show where we have been and more importantly, where we intend to grow together.

2004 - Northwest Industrial Services, Inc is Incorporated on February 3^rd, 2004. Serving the Washington County area in facilities support services

2005 – May 17^th, NWIS moves into first office a 600sq. ft. unit in Hillsboro

2007 – January 7^th, NWIS moves into a 4,000 sq. ft. unit in Hillsboro

2012 – NWIS expands their warehouse space to 8,000 sq. ft.in Hillsboro

2016 – NWIS form their construction division providing concrete and finish work as well as commercial remodeling and tenant improvements.

2022 – May , NWIS form their Commercial Door Division in support of ongoing door maintenance and installation as we transition into supplying full door packages for buildouts.

2023 - NWIS form their Commercial Window Division in support of ongoing commercial window maintenance as we transition into supplying full window installations for new construction.

2025 - To continue our enhancement of safety as a cultural norm within NWIS, All Project Managers are required to study 30 hours and receive an OSHA 30 Certificate.

FUTURE – As a provider of several services to our clients we are constantly evaluating our service ability and quality level. This ongoing review has us interested in the expansion of Commercial Painting, Specialty Parts Manufacturing, Data Center support, Steel Fabrications.
